Winter Pruning

 In Blog

We start 2020 with enthusiasm and energy. A year full of challenges that begins with one of the most beautiful tasks that are done in the field..... Winter pruning.

The field is asleep, enduring the winter cold.... Everything goes out... It picks up....

Winter pruning consists of eliminating the old wood from the plant and selecting the thumbs that will be left to sprout the shoots that will bear fruit in the next harvest. It is, therefore, a key and essential task in which the pruner must put care and love to balance the plants looking for a quality production. It is hard work, especially on cold winter mornings at -2º, when it is hard to get out of bed..... However, it has its reward when, once in the field, you see the plants, you shape them and take care of them with love, as if they were your own children..... It is a job that gives you enormous satisfaction because you bond with the plants as if you were helping them to be better... To give their best....

Once again, the countryside welcomes us with love and respect.....

From passion.
